Inspired by the legacy of Representative John Lewis and his call to “get in good trouble, necessary trouble,” this collaborative space uplifts those who are willing to challenge the status quo while building something better—for their families, their communities, and future generations. Good Trouble Collaborators is a growing initiative under the Safe Space Strategies umbrella

Meet Good Trouble Collaborators! We:

Encourage intergenerational leadership with space for youth, elders, and in-between voices to lead meaningfully.
Support creative problem-solvers, emerging entrepreneurs, and faith-rooted visionaries actively creating “good trouble” through bold, strategic action.
Offer a home for legacy-building initiatives that don’t fit neatly into traditional nonprofit or corporate models.
Use food, culture, storytelling, and systems thinking as central tools for community transformation.

The collaborators include chefs, wellness advocates, artists, organizers, strategists, faith leaders, and startup founders—all united by a desire to do more than just survive the system. They are here to reimagine it.

Mt. Rainer Artist Lofts Tenants Association – Save the Roof
We are actively supporting the Save the Roof campaign to protect affordable housing for artists in Mt. Rainer, MD. This includes amplifying tenant voices, supporting legal defense fundraising, and helping organize community events like the Art and Concert series. The work is about more than a building—it’s about keeping culture, creativity, and community rooted.

CBRE + LaToya Dove – Welcome to Summer Brunch
Partnering with CBRE’s Sr. Workplace Experience Coordinator, LaToya Dove, we designed and executed a rooftop-turned-amenity-center summer brunch experience. From menu planning and décor to branded materials and space logistics, we combined corporate hospitality standards with local business partnership—featuring Chef Rayven’s waffles, parfaits, and fresh juices to create a warm, memorable tenant engagement event.
